An update on our office protocols:

June 16, 2021

I, as well as my staff, would like to thank each of our patients for their compliance and understanding of our need for the strict protocols that have been in place since the Pandemic started. It has been a learning curve, one that I feel we have accomplished successfully. We have had zero COVID 19 transmissions since this pandemic started 16 months ago. As things are beginning to loosen up, we are still cautious, so the office is going to “soft open” our waiting room! What this means is that you will continue to let us know when you arrive for your scheduled appointment, however, we will be asking you to come up to the waiting room, provided there is space. We will be limiting the amount of people in the waiting room. Only the scheduled patient will be allowed up, except in the case of a special needs patient or small child. Because we are still being cautious, we are still enforcing the facial masks & screening questions, due to the environment of a dental office.

The staff and I thank you for your continued compliance and patience.

A Message from Dr Rench regarding Re-Opening for Dental Services

Long Beach Cosmetic Dentist

It is my sincere hope that this letter finds you and your family safe and in good health. Our community has been through a lot over these last few months. While there have been many changes, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.
As corona virus has become an evolving and uncertain public health issue, affecting people around the world, I want to assure you that your health, safety and well being are of the utmost importance to all of us. Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice, as you have seen during your visits to our office.  I care deeply about making my office as safe as possible for you, my patients, as well as my entire staff. I want you to know we have spent the last months, while closed, taking all the many steps required to meet all ADA/CDA/OSHA/CDC safety recommendations.
As your Dentist, I am always conservative and cautious in how I deal with procedures.  I want to assure you that from the time you enter, until the time you leave, we will be precise and cautious to include: screening questions, taking your temperature, washing your hands and rinsing with  a solution to help reduce the risk of any germs being spread while having dental services performed.
It will be mandated that ALL patients will have to wear a mask to enter the office.  We want to minimize patients’ interactions with each other, so we will be asking all patients to call our office when you arrive for your scheduled appointment (we MAY NOT be ready for you at that exact time, so we are going to ask that you remain in your vehicle until we call you to come in). Our waiting room is closed until further notice, as to limit the amount of interaction with patients.
Please be sure to be on time to help us navigate our new scheduling.  We will have only one patient entering the office at one time and to start no more than two patients in our office at any one time.
We are taking the following steps to ensure your safety:

  • The office will be cleaned and disinfected nightly to make sure all surfaces are wiped clean.
  • All our staff will be equipped with protective gear, such as N95 masks, face shields, sterile gowns, and gloves. (Please note: Due to the body heat generated from all the protective gear worn by staff, the office temperature will be much cooler, so bring a sweater!)
  • Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the office.
  • All employees will wash their hands with soap and water throughout the day, as per CDC recommendations.
  • We will ask out patients to rinse with 1% hydrogen peroxide after being seated (corona virus is vulnerable to oxidation)
  • All instruments, as usual, will be sterilized before each patient.
  • All surfaces will be wiped down throughout the day and between every patient.
  • We will verbally screen all patient and staff for any signs or symptoms of infection.
  • Our office will follow all ADA/CDA/OSHA and CDC recommendations.

We are excited to begin to provide dental services to you again, very soon!
Please stay well and be kind and considerate to each other as we navigate this pandemic.
